Painter, Photoshop
July 2009

Recent painting using a similar approach as "Treason". I start by imagining a scene in my head and memorize the main ingredients. Then, I try to materialize it with a quick gestural black and white concept done in Painter. Then, I start adding color slowly and all the inherent detail, trying not to fade the initial brushstrokes. This is mostly done in Photoshop but sometimes I come back to Painter to reintroduce that "traditional" feel. When the color changes drastically in my process, it usually means I "hit" the painting with a Color Balance filter. I try to take my time finalizing these paintings to carefully evaluate them. I posted some steps below to better explain my process.
I hope you like it.
